Greetings Adventurers, this is the Black Desert Global Lab service team.

Currently, the Black Desert Global Lab supports 3 languages - Korean, English, and Chinese.

For a long time, we’ve wanted to create a font that really represented Black Desert.
As we expanded to platforms beyond PC, such as XBOX and PS4, we felt the limitations of the previously used font in representing Black Desert. Thus, with the introduction of the new Integrated UI, we felt the necessity of a font that truly matched the Integrated UI’s design.

As a result, we changed all the fonts for the 3 languages during the regular maintenance on October 24, 2019 (Thu).

Especially for the Korean and English, we collaborated with “Yoon Design”, a company that specializes in font creation, for an extended period of time to design - “Strong Sword” - a font that expresses the strength and deftness of Black Desert’s combat. The “Strong Sword” font was designed with the idea of bringing together the Korean and English as to be suitable for the global image of Black Desert.

With the motif of a “Strong Sword”, how will the “Strong Sword” font look?

Sword Sword will soon be applied to the official servers of Black Desert, please look forward to it.
